Open Restaurant Group (ORG) has appointed Tony Parkin as development chef, which operates eight sites across the UK.
Parkin, who previously held a Michelin star at the Cliff House Hotel in Waterford, Ireland, will work alongside chef Andrew Sheridan on menu development across the group. Sheridan co-owns ORG with business partners Sam and Emma Morgan.
The appointment follows ORG’s recent expansion, including the launch of a new all-day dining restaurant in Chester.
Parkin also won a Michelin star during his time at the Tudor Room at the Great Fosters Hotel in Egham. He appeared on BBC television programme Great British Menu and has returned to England after two years in Ireland.
He said: “I am very excited to join Andy, Sam and Emma at Open Restaurant Group, and for the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
Sheridan added: “Tony is a brilliant chef who brings with him loads of experience and we can’t wait to see what he’ll bring to ORG.”
ORG’s portfolio includes 8 By Andrew Sheridan in Liverpool, which holds three AA Rosettes; Sow on the Netherwood Estate in Worcestershire; OXA in the Wirral; Dishes in Prestatyn; the Bracebridge in Sutton Coldfield; and Black and Green and Cofton on the Green in Barnt Green, Worcestershire.
