The Accessible Hospitality Alliance (AHA) has appointed Charlotte Evans to its advisory board as the organisation strengthens its focus on accessibility across the sector.

Evans has more than 25 years’ experience in media, including 12 years as group publishing director of Condé Nast Johansens, where she oversaw the brand’s print, digital and events portfolio. She is also an ambassador for Hospitality Action and an advocate for inclusivity in hospitality.

She joins other media leaders on the board, including Mark Lewis, former editor and publisher of The Caterer, and Mike Tunnicliffe, former chief growth and marketing officer at GroupM.

AHA was launched last year and held its first forum earlier in 2025, with hospitality businesses including BM Caterers and BB Merchant Services making new commitments to accessibility following the event.

Preparations are under way for its second forum, which will bring together media, commercial and operational leaders to share best practice on embedding accessibility across the industry.

Evans said: “I am delighted to join respected colleagues including Mark Lewis and Stephen Maley on the advisory board for the Accessible Hospitality Alliance.

“I’d also like to thank Denis Sheehan and Robin Sheppard for inviting me to be an advisor. I’m excited to provide my insights and experience and support AHA’s mission to remove barriers and make the hospitality industry accessible for all.”

Robin Sheppard, chair of AHA, said: “I am delighted that Charlotte has joined the aha advisory board. The experience and knowledge Charlotte brings is complementary to that of the other media professionals within our team.

“It is also complementary to the incredible depth of talent and experience we have on our advisory board from owners and operators of hospitality and catering organisations.”
