The Sushi Co has opened a new site in Tower Bridge, following recent openings in Brighton, Harringay and Hampstead.
It comes as the company said it is actively recruiting more franchisees to meet rising demand for sushi in the UK.
The Sushi Co is on target to have 30 live kitchens open by the end of 2025 and 100 UK restaurants by the end of 2030. For new franchisees, site sourcing, store fit out, training, turn-key opening of stores and marketing and full training are offered.
Co-founder Raheel Choudhary said: “Sushi is trending across the UK right now and we welcomed new customers to come and visit Tower Bridge to experience their own delicious sushi moment. We also offer eat-in and take away options so everyone can enjoy a minutes-fresh healthy meal, when and where suits them.
“We now have 22 live kitchens in London and beyond and we are experiencing unprecedented customer demand. As a result, the Sushi Co is very much open to offering franchising opportunities to like-minded individuals to take advantage of a proven and profitable business model in an expanding market, supported by a vastly experienced management team.”
Franchisee Talha Tahir for Tower Bridge, who also runs The Sushi Co’s Kensington’s site, added: “I have a background in the food industry. I began as a pizza delivery driver many years ago and worked my way up to head of operations at a big name brand, responsible for 100 sites. However, I decided I’d like to do something for myself.
“Now overseeing the success of my own authentic live sushi kitchens and restaurants delivering unforgettable taste experiences to customers every day and supported by The Sushi Co’s experienced team, has enabled me to achieve my goal and my very own sushi moment.”
