Cafe Linea, a new neighbourhood restaurant, bar and bakery, is set to open early summer in the Grade-II listed 19th Century arcade overlooking Duke of York Square, offering all-day dining in Chelsea.

Founded by husband-and-wife duo Greg and Felicity Godik, Cafe Linea reimagines the classic arcade dining experience from across Europe.

Situated next to London’s Saatchi Gallery, Cafe Linea’s interiors have been designed by Dion and Arles, the team involved in venues such as Chiltern Firehouse, Dovetale, and The Standard, London.

The space will feature vaulted ceilings and arched alcoves and also includes a large terrace designed to provide a space for alfresco dining and drinking.

The cafe will offer homemade bread and a changing selection of artisanal pastries from the bakery, including savoury allumettes, filled with ham, cheese and miso, and banoffee bostocks with banana cream, to accompany artisan coffee.

It will also offer a fuller breakfast and brunch menu.

The pair have appointed Carolina Ferpozzi as chef partner. Originally from Argentina, she brings her experience from working alongside respected South American chefs Fernando Trocca and Narda Lepes, to create menus that “reflect seasonality and a fresh take on classic dishes”.

Also joining the team is general manager and partner Steven Mason, previously of Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and the three Michelin-starred Odette in Singapore.

Greg and Felicity said: “Set to become a neighbourhood favourite, Cafe Linea will provide something for every moment of the day. Whether stopping in for a morning coffee and pastry, enjoying a relaxed breakfast or business lunch, unwinding with post-work drinks, or settling in for a memorable dinner, Cafe Linea promises to be an exciting addition to Chelsea’s burgeoning restaurant scene.”
