Catering group BaxterStorey has promoted Dan Wilson to the new role of head of food UK, expanding his previous remit as head of food for London to cover operations nationwide.
Wilson has led the company’s London chef team for the past three years, supporting menu development, new business and operations across about 300 sites.
In his new position, he will oversee food strategy and standards across the country, working with regional heads of food to develop BaxterStorey’s “sustainable nutrition” approach, a health-focused and plant-led food model.
The company said Wilson will also help strengthen partnerships with organisations including Food for Life, the British Nutrition Foundation and the Chef Manifesto initiative led by Paul Newnham.
Wilson said: “For me, this role is personal. BaxterStorey has trusted me to represent our teams, help them grow and develop, and work with absolute freedom in their kitchens to delight customers. Taking professional pride in the chef jacket is a non-negotiable for our chefs, from growers and producers through to the skills and education we offer.”
He added: “With our 2026 sustainable nutrition strategy firmly underway, this will be a huge year for our teams. We are working with chefs from our Level 5 Chef Academy on a project that will bring seasonality, science and technology to every BaxterStorey kitchen.”
