Aqua Restaurant Group will open the first international site of its Hong Kong concept Dim Sum Library in Covent Garden on 8 December 2025, marking the group’s 25th venue.
The London opening will extend the brand outside Asia for the first time since its launch in 2016.
The restaurant will operate as an all-day dining space offering lunch, afternoon service, drinks and dim sum, and pre-theatre menus.
The London site will follow the format of the Hong Kong original, with a focus on contemporary interpretations of dim sum and Cantonese dishes.
Chefs Jian Jia and Leung Kwok Wah will lead the kitchen. The menu will feature variations on classic dishes, including wagyu beef puffs, dan dan xiao long bao and black garlic siu mai, alongside larger plates such as black truffle crispy chicken and steamed Alaskan black cod.
Desserts will include oolong crème brûlée and truffle chocolate mochi.
Additionally, a central cocktail bar will serve classic and tea-based drinks, and the venue will include a dim sum preparation station visible from the entrance.
The group said the interior design draws on elements of Hong Kong dining culture.
David Yeo, founder and chief executive of Aqua Restaurant Group, said: “Dim Sum Library represents the evolution of Hong Kong dining, sophisticated yet welcoming, artistic yet deeply rooted in tradition. London’s energy and diversity make it the perfect city to continue this story.”
