Stonegate Group has announced the appointment of Nigel Sherwood as the new managing director of its Managed business.Sherwood succeeds Carol Campbell in the role, who has stepped down having led the business through a significant period of change.
He brings “extensive” experience from across the leisure sector, including senior roles at Allied Domecq, Wagamama and Nando’s, and will play a key role in driving performance and overseeing the Managed estate and transition of sites under the group’s estate transformation strategy.
Stonegate said the move comes as it is continuing to reshape its estate as part of this long-term transformation strategy.
A key focus of the group’s strategy is the Managed business, which will transition to a streamlined portfolio of around 320 pubs, bars and venues by the end of FY26.
