Pub group Young’s has announced the opening of a new wine bar in Swedeland Court in Bishopsgate London named The Bishop’s Vaults.

Previously Boisdale of Bishopsgate, the space has been transformed into an intimate wine bar, offering a premium wine list, along with a selection of cheese and charcuterie plates, sourced from British suppliers.

The new venue is set across two floors consisting of a 50-cover ground-floor bar, with a further 100-covers in the basement, open for walk-ins, bookings and for private hire.

Design highlights include exposed brick walls featuring an eclectic mix of artwork, a long statement marble bar with brass detailing and arched doorways, while the old vaults have been converted into intimate booths with leather seating.

The menu showcases a curated list of premium wines from across the globe along with a list of champagne and sparkling wines. Drinks are complemented with a selection of British cheese and charcuterie. There is also a selection of classic cocktails with a twist.

The Bishop’s Vaults joins Young’s 226-strong portfolio of pubs, bars and hotels which includes fellow Swedeland Court pub Dirty Dicks.
