The Nare reopens The Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant
The restaurant will serve a seafood-based menu with each table having a sea view of Gerrans Bay on the Roseland Peninsula

The Nare has announced the reopening of The Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant after a recent transformation.
Refreshed as a seafood dining destination, The Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant will serve a seafood-based menu with each table having a sea view of Gerrans Bay on the Roseland Peninsula.
Dishes will include St Mawes octopus, Cornish bluefin tuna, and grilled local lobster, alongside hand-foraged accompaniments of seaweed, wild garlic and elderflower.
The restaurant is supplied by Wings of St Mawes, a multi-award-winning Cornish fishmonger within the region. The Quarterdeck has also partnered with the National Lobster Hatchery to support their “Buy One, Set One Free” initiative. With every lobster The Nare purchases, the hotel itself will donate £1 to help release local baby lobsters back into the Cornish sea, helping support local ecosystems.
The interiors and exteriors of the restaurant have been designed to bring the sea views in, from the selection of crockery to the floor-to-ceiling windows and al fresco dining during the warmer months.
Toby Ashworth, proprietor of The Nare, said: “We are so excited to reopen The Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant. Our Quarterdeck team has worked closely to develop the menus, space and overall offering for our guests, while considering Cornwall’s fishing heritage and our environment. We are so pleased to work alongside the National Lobster Hatchery and the Wings of St Mawes to offer an elevated menu that is in-keeping with our classic style.
“This restaurant is a true reflection of our team’s hard work and dedication to make this one of the most sought-after coastal seafood restaurants in Cornwall and beyond, and we look forward to welcoming Nare guests, local residents and visitors to enjoy a truly delightful experience.”
