Salt Yard Group, a chain of tapas bars and restaurants, has announced the opening of its new restaurant at Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush on 21 July.
The restaurant is located in the southern terrace of Westfield London. The new site will be the fifth restaurant for the group.
Salt Yard Westfield will be serving a menu of “intricate and beautifully presented small plates celebrating the flavours, traditions and ingredients of Spain and Italy”.
The interior features exposed brick, brass, green velvet banquettes and tapas bar high tables. Salt Yard Westfield will also have an enclosed terrace area with a large olive tree.
The menu at Salt Yard Westfield will feature a variety of authentic dishes created using high-quality ingredients such as Jambon ibérico de bellotta, roasted piquillo pepper croquetas with whipped caprino fresco as well as a curated selection of charcuterie and cheeses.
The menu has small plates including braised lamb breast, rosemary scented cannellini beans and wild garlic, charred octopus with arroz negro and saffron alioli, confit cod loin with smoked anchovy romesco and wilted baby spinach and courgette flowers, monte enebro and blossom honey.
Salt Yard Westfield will offer signature cocktails such as the Padron Margarita, a spicy combination of Padron pepper infused tequila, agave, Cointreau and lime and the Mambo Italiano, strawberry infused Campari with cava sparkling wine and soda water.
Nick Pring, founder and director of Urban Pubs and Bars, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening Salt Yard at Westfield London. The opening marks Salt Yard Group’s first restaurant in West London and the first Salt Yard opening since the group became part of the Urban Pubs & Bars family. We’re excited to welcome people in and bring some Spanish and Italian flair to the area.”
Having first opened Salt Yard in Fitzrovia in 2005, the new opening is the first since Salt Yard Group became part of Urban Pubs and Bars family in 2018 and will be joined by another Salt Yard restaurant opening later in 2022.
