The Royal Oak in Harlesden has reopened its doors today (15 March), after undergoing an extensive transformation following a six-figure investment from Craft Union Pub Company.

The pub which features Victorian architecture now includes two fully refurbished bars, with ‘The Loft’ bar located upstairs, which will be available for private events. The bars will provide extensive drinks selections between them, including new installations of Cruzcampo, Birra Moretti and Madri.

The pub has extended its entertainment offering by installing a brand-new dartboard, a pool table and a range of HD TV screens to broadcast upcoming sports matches. The pub will also be trading earlier, and introducing daytime and evening weekly events.

The diverse array of weekly events will now include darts on Mondays, Quiz Union on Tuesdays, bingo on Wednesdays, ‘Killer Pool’ on Thursdays, live music on Fridays, DJ/Karaoke on Saturdays, and a talk sport quiz on Sundays.

At the helm of The Royal Oak is Kylie Downie, an operator with a “wealth” of experience gained from managing Craft Union pubs across the North.

Downie’s background also includes managing bars abroad in Spain, where she integrated her passion for hospitality with her talents as a singer.

Downie said: “I can’t wait to welcome the local community back to the Royal Oak. The new look and features have really elevated the space, and it’s definitely going to be the new hot spot in town. It’ll be great to see everyone getting involved in the exciting entertainment we’ve got coming up throughout the week, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
