Bar group Arc Inspirations has reported a “record” sales rise of 10.8% for the five-week period to the end of December 2024, with the help of three new flagship openings.
The operator of Banyan, BOX, and Manahatta saw total sales hit £2m, with average weekly sales across its 19 venues peaking at a “record” £106k of revenue per site.
Arc’s strong performance follows the launch of three new sites – two Manahatta cocktail bars in Edinburgh and Nottingham and a BOX in Sheffield – in a five-week period across October and November.
The three new venues recorded average sales of £117k per week in the peak Christmas trading week in December.
Five of Arc’s other locations also recorded their “best ever” sales week, commencing 9 December, while a further 12 venues recorded their best ever sales day in the same month.
Martin Wolstencroft, co-founder and CEO of Arc Inspirations, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this performance which is testament to the hard work, passion and commitment of our incredible teams. To see our business open three large-scale bars in the run up to the critical December trading period, and then to deliver this level of sales is an extraordinary achievement.
“These figures were delivered alongside our best ever NPS scores and we are also seeing record retention among our teams. It’s the culmination of a very positive year and the amazing hard work of our teams – which makes me incredibly proud and grateful.”
According to Wolstencroft, the performance was “all the more remarkable” given some significant challenges during the period, including adverse weather conditions and transport cancellations.
