The County at Aycliffe is now under new ownership, having been purchased by Michael Parkin.
The County is a pub and restaurant with seven en-suite letting rooms is located in Aycliffe Village, which has recently been refurbished with a modern and contemporary menu to complement.
It has earned the coveted TripAdvisor certificate of excellence award four years running, from 2015 to 2018 as well as a ‘number 1’ rating on TripAdvisor locally.
Parkin has worked in hospitality since the age of 16 and has a wealth of experience to ensure The County will thrive under his operation. Being chairman of the Fishburn Community Centre, his “strong local connections will be more than beneficial.”
Parkin said: “From the minute I first stepped foot in The County for a meal with family I knew this was the type of business I wanted to own. Since taking ownership of the staff and customers have made me feel extremely welcome and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
