Mulligans will open a new sports and games venue at the Brewery Shopping Centre in Romford tomorrow (11 December), following a six-figure investment by parent firm Adventure Leisure.

The company is taking over the former Bunkers unit and plans to introduce a mix of gaming attractions and live sport. The site will debut Electro-Shuffle – a digital version of traditional shuffleboard with automatic scoring – which is being offered in Romford for the first time.

As part of the launch, the venue will house two Sixes Party Cricket batting cages. Visitors will be able to face a real ball from a virtual professional bowler at speeds of up to 75mph, with gameplay options modelled on World Cup and T20 formats at varying difficulty levels.

Additional activities will include electro-darts, pool tables, crazy golf and ping pong. A new sports bar will show fixtures on 146-inch and 65-inch screens with feeds from Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

Mulligans said the venue is aimed at groups, work events and family outings, with VIP areas available for private hire. A food menu will offer pizzas, nachos, fries and a range of side dishes, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The bar will serve 12 cocktails created by the firm’s mixologists, alongside alcohol-free options, wine, soft drinks and beer and cider on draught.

Stephen Brown, chief operating officer at Adventure Leisure, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to bring our Romford venue under the Mulligans umbrella and launch it under our new Sports and Games concept. We’re ready and raring to serve an all-encompassing experience for lovers of games, whether spectating or having a go themselves.

“We’re delighted to partner with Sixes Party Club in this venture to provide another best-in-class social gaming experience for our guests. The whole team is looking forward to welcoming familiar faces from the community, as well as new guests visiting us for the first time.”

Adventure Leisure operates 14 Mulligans venues across the UK. The most recent site opened in Guildford in July 2025. The company is part of Burhill Group, which also runs golf clubs and Ninja Warrior UK-branded attractions.
