Italian gelato brand Amorino has opened its 36th UK store on Tottenham Court Road, London, and confirmed plans to grow its network to 100 locations nationwide by 2030.
Founded in 2002 in Paris by Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi, the chain is known for its artisanal, rose-shaped gelato made with natural ingredients and no artificial colours or flavours. The brand entered the UK market 17 years ago, led by UK master franchisor Hubert Attali.
Amorino’s range includes vegan sorbets, organic-certified gelato and gluten-free options.
Attali, who left a career in banking and technology to bring the chain to London, said the business had focused in recent years on strengthening its local team to support the next phase of growth.
Attali said: “While we’ve always had strong support from our Paris-based teams, the last three years have been focused on building a capable, motivated UK team that’s fully equipped to lead our next phase of growth.
“With demand growing rapidly, the time felt right to accelerate. Locations like Marlow, Windsor, York, Cambridge, Bath and Canterbury are trading exceptionally well. It’s a real endorsement of the brand and shows that the appetite for authentic Italian gelato stretches far beyond major city centres.”
The company has also pledged to grow sustainably, introducing eco-friendly packaging, lower-emission ingredients and a roadmap to eliminate single-use plastics by 2027.
Further openings are planned across the UK, including in Scotland, and the company is seeking new franchise partners.
