Bristol-based Michelin-starred Wilks restaurant has permanently closed.
In a statement posted on the restaurantās site, the restaurant said despite the announcement allowing restaurants to reopen, it decided ānot to do soā.
The statement read: āIt has been an absolute joy running our restaurant since 2012. Wilksās success is undoubtedly associated with the amazing people we have met & worked with over the years.
āWe have loved being in Bristol since day one. We have welcomed here the kindest & most supportive guests we have ever had the chance to work with. Bristol definitely rocks. We have worked closely with passionate producers and suppliers who have provided us with tremendous quality produce.ā
It continued: āWe have recruited over the years very talented and dedicated young professionals. They have helped us to make wilks everything it was. Many guests, suppliers & members of the team have become friends and we thank all of you who have been part of this experience. We will miss you.ā
The company also announced the restaurant is currently on the market.
Wilksās site on Chandos Road has traded as a restaurant for over 25 years. Prior to this the site was occupied by Culinaria and Red Snapper.
