Chopstix has opened a new site in the St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow, marking the Chinese-inspired quick service restaurant chainās fourth venue in the city.
The company said high-footfall shopping centres remain a key focus of its expansion plan. The St. Enoch Centre is among the busiest retail destinations in Scotland, and the latest outlet will create 20 jobs.
The business has added sites at a rapid pace since investment last October by European quick service operator QSRP. It has averaged one opening every two weeks as part of a broader growth strategy.
Chopstix managing director Jon Lake said: āWe have been able to welcome 20 new Craver Makers to the Chopstix team who are raring to go to serve the Flavour Cravers of Glasgow.
āWith a new store opening every two weeks, weāve seen huge momentum behind the business this year, weāre very proud of the Chopstix brand and our unwavering focus on quality, speed, and customer experience.ā
The company was founded in Camden Market in 2002 by entrepreneurs Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik, who continue to be involved in the day-to-day running of the business. The group has been developing its brand and scaling its estate as it targets becoming the largest Asian quick service restaurant operator in Europe.
