Awesome Chips has announced it has launched as a franchise.
Set up in 2015, the group serves fresh hand cut chips alongside a range of sauces, rubs and spices. With branches in Leicester, Wood Green in London and the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham, it is now welcoming applications from franchisees to expand the brand across the UK and Europe.
The group said it offers a “low-cost franchise opportunity with excellent returns”. It is now inviting applications from potential franchisees “with a passion for food and a background in management and business”.
In return, it has pledged to offer a “comprehensive” franchise package including full training, assistance with site sourcing, store fit out, national marketing and operational support to supply a full pre and post tender turnkey offer. For the right franchisees, multi-unit franchise deals are also available in locations across the UK and Europe.
Roni Dalal, founder of Awesome Chips, said: “While travelling a few years ago, I came across frites stands in Belgium. It was clear if done well, how putting the humble potato on a pedestal, really worked! Regardless, if you are a kid or an OAP, whatever your gender, ethnicity, background, vegan or Halal, everyone loves chips!
“Our fresh cut chips, double fried and served up in funky paper cones with a choice of our signature spices, rubs and sauces have already proven to be super popular. Over the past few years, we’ve thoroughly tried, tested and proven the simplicity of the Awesome Chips concept. Now backed by our experienced operations and franchise team, new franchisees have the chance to join our mission to bring the best Belgian chips to new customers in locations across the UK.”
