Michelin-trained chef Edward Boarland along with business partner Dee Reid have launched a new concept restaurant, wine bar and florist at 12 Bow Lane in London, called Stem and Stem.

Boarland, who trained under Alain Roux, Clare Smyth, Gordon Ramsay and Simone Zanoni, will continue in his role as executive head chef for Cabotte in the City, The Black Book wine bar in Soho, Comptoir Café and Wine in Mayfair and Blandford Comptoir in Marylebone.

Stem and Stem will showcase “the finest” seasonal British produce and “exclusive” champagnes.

Boarland said: “Dee and I are incredibly proud to be launching our new venture in the heart of the City of London. We take immense pride in being both a restaurant and florist, curating experiences that celebrate the best of British cuisine and locally sourced seasonal blooms, all while championing sustainability.

“Bringing my knowledge of City diners and my passion for champagne, seafood and seasonal British produce to Stem and Stem, I want to create light, elegant, flavourful dishes with a focus on British produce, sustainability and seasonality.”

On 1 December from 5pm to 7.30pm, the new restaurant will stage a special food and champagne tasting event, where people will also get advice on food pairing suggestions for the festive season.
