Airds Hotel and Restaurant in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland has revealed a “significant” refurbishment programme that will cost approximately £400k.
It is reported that the refurbishment will be undertaken over the next two winters, with the hotel and restaurant to remain open throughout to “ensure minimal disruption to the comfort of guests”.
The news comes as the 11-bedroom luxury property was acquired by The Fusion Group, an asset management venture, following the news that the property’s previous owner of 19 years retired in December 2021.
As a result, Fusion Group’s accommodation services division has reportedly taken over the reservations operation and specialist hotel management company, EHM, and has also been awarded a three-year contract to operate the hotel.
In addition, the group are reportedly working with head chef Calum Innes, a “champion” of fine local produce, with the aim to gain the venue another rosette and a Michelin star.
