Japanese restaurant group, YO! (previously known as YO! Sushi) has opened its 25th ‘To Go’ kiosk at Tesco Durham Extra, as part of the 50 kiosk roll out in Tesco stores nationwide.

The 50 kiosk partnership builds on the successful trials of YO! To Go kiosks at Tesco’s Sunbury-on-Thames Extra and Bournemouth Extra stores. Other kiosks that have already opened include Newcastle upon Tyne, Hammersmith and Edinburgh.

The YO! manned kiosks offer customers made-to-order sushi as well as freshly made bestsellers from the YO! To Go range, including sharing platters.

Customers are also able to purchase ready meals of YO! dishes such as salmon teriyaki and chicken katsu curry. The roll out, which will be complete by the end of the year.

YO! CEO Richard Hodgson said: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with Tesco as part of our mission to introduce more people to sushi and fresh Japanese food.

“Developing our YO! To Go proposition is an integral part of our multi-channel strategy to drive availability and engagement with more consumers”
