Having met through working at London’s Bourne and Hollingsworth Group, as managing director and head of marketing respectively, Jamie Forbes and Andria Stirling are set to relaunch Henricks Bar.

Henricks Bar is a neighbourhood bar offering cocktails and comfort food in a “relaxed environment”. A Bruntsfield fixture for 20 years, Henricks Bar now has a new team in place, led by Forbes and Stirling.

Forbes started his bar career in Edinburgh, at Ricks Bar and Rooms (now Rabble), Candy Bar and then Indigo Yard. He was then headhunted to help open Albannach in London’s Trafalgar Square in 2004 where he joined as whisky sommelier and bar manager before moving to Ignite Group.

After a stint in Brazil with William Grants, he returned to London and headed up the team at B&H Group, overseeing the group’s bars and restaurants and is where he met Stirling, who was responsible for all the group’s marketing and events.

The pair have now ”put their stamp” on Henricks Bar, transforming it from a local brasserie into a neighbourhood bar that offers high quality cocktails, curated spirits and hand-picked wines alongside beautifully cooked, honest food.

Featuring “pared back, intelligent cocktails” and having a definite leaning towards whisky, alongside classics Henricks Bar’s cocktail list will change regularly.

With a big focus on grilled meats and burgers, Henricks Bar’s food offering will combine classic brasserie fare with traditional Scottish favourites and “moreish” bar snacks.
