Jollibee has announced the launch of its first restaurant in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday 24 July.Ā
The new restaurant concept will aim to offer āhigh-quality great tasting foodā at an affordable price point.Ā
The site will open from 10 am -10 pm daily and has a seating capacity of 124.Ā
Jollibee, which originated in the Philippines, said the new opening is in line with the groupās plans to have āat least 50 stores across the UK by 2025ā.Ā
The restaurant chain, which has close to 1500 locations around the world, serves fried chicken and Asian-inpsired fast food dishes.Ā
Currently, the brand also has UK sites in London, Leicester, Liverpool, and Leeds.Ā
Adam Parkinson, business head of Jollibee Europe, said: āThe opening of the restaurant will create new job opportunities for up to 50 people in Cardiff,Ā supporting the local economy and bringing people back to the city centre.Ā
āSince April, trading figures in Cardiff have steadily grown with more people coming into work and growing confidence in the hospitality sector.ā
