Wingstop is set to open a new site within the Trafford Centre as a part of its plans for expansion into Manchester, with an opening set for early spring 2022.

The chicken wing chain will open a 2,991 sq ft unit in The Orient, and will also be adding its fresh and seasoned menu to the existing 40 restaurants on offer.

Having launched in the US in 1994, there are now over 1,500 Wingstop restaurants across the world.

Its “good value” menu features “flavour focused” wings, burgers, tenders platters, sides and desserts served in modern restaurants.

Tom Grogan, director of Lemon Pepper Holdings (Wingstop UK), said: “We are thrilled to be part of  Manchester Trafford Centre and expanding on our presence in Manchester city centre. We are  committed to expanding the Wingstop brand across the country and look to announce a number of  new openings shortly.”

Rhys Evans, director of Asset Management at The Trafford Centre, added: “Wingstop is a brilliant addition to Trafford Centre’s food and drink offering. It is a standout and exuberant brand,  so we are proud to be supporting this restaurant in its expansion across the Manchester food scene.

“The restaurant, with its energy and flavour-packed food, will bring something fresh and exciting to  the centre and we have no doubt it will prove a popular addition.”
