Pride of Britain Hotels has announced that Farlam Hall Hotel and Restaurant, near Brampton, in Cumbria, has joined its exclusive hotel collection.
Farlam Hall boasts 13 appointed rooms and five cottages. The cottages sleep two to six guests, with living areas including wood burners, fully-equipped kitchens and private terraces.
The house was originally turned into a hotel in 1975, and was sold to its new owners, Joseph Walter and Kathy Mares in 2019. Over the last two years, the hotel has undergone a complete refurbishment whilst “retaining its sense of history and tradition”.
The hotel dining space, the Cedar Tree Restaurant – led by executive chef Steven Pott – features an a la carte and tasting menu.
Dishes include english asparagus with duck egg, truffle, watercress, wild garlic and gremolata; local saddle of lamb with Lyonnaise potato, and lemon and thyme meringue tart with garden raspberry ice cream.
