ngela Hartnett has appointed James Holah as group executive chef at Angela Hartnett Ltd.

Holah will be working across Michelin-starred restaurants Murano, Mayfair, and neighbourhood favourites Cafe Murano, St James, Covent Garden and Bermondsey.

He joins Angela Hartnett with a wealth of experience, having held the head chef position at the Michelin-starred restaurant in The Ritz Hotel, working under executive chef John Williams. Followed by Sally Clarke, where he navigated launching the adjoined shop as a separate enterprise, whilst refurbishing and relaunching the restaurant in Notting Hill, and Sonny’s Kitchen, alongside Phil Howard, as the two relaunched in Barnes.

It revealed other accolades consist of executive sous chef at Selfridges and Harrods, where Holah led “innovative sustainable initiatives” across brand partnerships and new restaurants. His early career and training was at The Square and Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s.

Hartnett said: “We’re really happy to welcome James Holah as the new group executive chef for Cafe Murano and Murano. James is joining the team having worked with some of the industry’s best. Including Phil Howard, Sally Clarke and John Williams. We can’t wait for him to bring his wealth of experience to the Murano family.”
