The Moor Hall restaurant in Lancashire has topped a list of 100 at this year’s National Restaurant Awards.

Opening in 2016 by chef Mark Birchall, the restaurant with rooms holds two Michelin stars and five AA Rosettes. It was the only non-London restaurant to come in the top five spot of the list, and the third outside of the capital to make the top 10.

Brat in Shoreditch, London came in the number two spot followed by Cornerstone in Hackney Wick, Core by Clare Smyth in Notting Hill and Mayfair’s Sabor.

Moor Hall serves modern British cuisine and makes its own charcuterie in house. There are also plans for the restaurant to open its own dairy, bakery and brewery.
