Michelin-starred chef, Adam Stokes, is to open a new Birmingham restaurant named Oyster Club.

Located on Temple Street, the location will feature an oyster bar and seafood restaurant, underneath the currently existing Ivy Restaurant. The Oyster Club will open in February 2019, featuring a 30-cover restaurant and 24-seater bar. Oysters at the bar will be shucked in full-view of diners and served with Tabasco and mignonette sauce.

Interior designers, Faber Design, said the interior would create an “approachable, relaxed bar and restaurant offering high end food designed in the spirit of the most classic oyster bars”.

The chef has previously won Michelin stars for his work at Glenapp Castle in Scotland and opened a pop-up restaurant in Bennett’s Hill in 2013. Stokes said: “The Oyster Club has been a long time in the making for me. Cooking seafood has always been a big passion and I knew I could create something special for Birmingham.”
