Roux at Parliament Square, a Westminster restaurant, has announced its permanent closure in a statement on its website.

The 60-cover restaurant is part of RA Group’s fine dining and public restaurants operations that is run in partnership with the Roux family.

The website’s statement said: “Our restaurant has regrettably suffered during this incredibly difficult year. That, combined with the ongoing uncertainty ahead, has resulted in the permanent closure of Roux at Parliament Square.”

Operations at Roux had been overseen by National Chef of the Year Steve Groves, who joined the restaurant as sous chef in 2010.

Groves, a winner of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2009, previously worked at Kensington’s Launceston Place.

The statement added: “We thank our guests for their patronage and support and extend a special thank you to Michel Roux Jr., Head Chef Steve Groves and every single member of the team for their endless dedication over the past decade.”

Catering Today has contacted RA Group for further comments.
