Restaurateur and events caterer, Searcys, has announced the official opening of 41 Portland Place following a major refurbishment, adding to its portfolio of brasseries, bars and event spaces located across London

A Grade II-listed Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, 41 Portland Place boasts eight bright and airy versatile event spaces, including a chic rooftop terrace.

The property’s “period and modern” rooms are equipped to host a wide variety of events from conferences, press and product launches, to dinners and receptions, parties and weddings, accommodating up to 150 guests.

Originally designed by James Adam in 1773 and a private home until 1939, the period rooms on the ground and first floor feature high, ornate ceilings, antique mirrors, marble fireplaces, and large sash windows.

AMS Design Studio has refurbished the building to enhance its environmental sustainability by adding energy efficient lighting, insulation and an external heat pump to reduce energy use.

At the heart of the group’s catering operations is executive head chef Irmantas Udra, who oversees the creation of menus that are “meticulously designed and crafted with exceptional attention to detail and creativity”.
