30 Euston Square has announced the appointment of Masterchef semi-finalist, Michelle Trusselle as executive chef.

Joining Searcys team at 30 Euston Square late last year, the firm said Trusselle led the kitchen through its “busy” Christmas period and has begun extensive menu development across the venue, from canapés to fine dining dinners.

Bringing her own “creative flair”, new menus will focus on elevating the “best of seasonal, sustainable British produce with modern cooking techniques” while taking inspiration from flavours and spices from the Caribbean, Middle East, India and East Asia.

Euston said Trusselle’s culinary journey began at Westminster Culinary Arts College at 16. She has trained and worked in some of the most celebrated kitchens in the UK including The Savoy, Claridge’s and Michelin-starred restaurant La Trompette under Bruce Poole.

It added that she honed her head chef skills in the hospitality and fine dining department inside a global management consulting firm and has also catered for royalty, politicians, industry leaders, culture and fashion icons including film directors.

Trusselle said: “I am delighted to be working with the amazing team at the prestigious 30 Euston Square.

“After joining during the busy Christmas period, I’m looking forward to tapping into my creativity to create and develop innovative menus for 2022, combining my own authentic cooking style with 30 Euston Square’s long-standing British heritage and ethos.”
