Burger King UK has announced a further expansion to its business after the acquisition of eight new sites.
The franchisee behind Burger King has purchased the Oxford and Bristol Burger King businesses from the Silver family.
After the opening of the Cribbs Causeway site in Bristol, the group will have now acquired eight sites in total.
The company owned portfolio has now increased to 100 company owned restaurants within the total UK estate of 515 sites.
Burger King UK said this acquisition was part of its commitment to organic growth, and forms part of its plan to roll out the brand further across the UK.
CEO for Burger King UK, Alasdair Murdoch, said: “We are delighted to be acquiring an excellent portfolio of Burger King restaurants together with a fantastic operating team.
“I want to thank Andrew for his support along with the enormous contribution he has made to Burger King in the UK over the past 30 years.”
He added: “The restaurants have been run in an exemplary way and we welcome the restaurant teams as they become part of a growing BK UK group.”
Burger King UK formed in 2017 after a venture deal between Restaurant Brands International and Bridgepoint Capital.
