JD Wetherspoon will open a new pub worth £2.3m near Euston station, creating 55 jobs. The Captain Flinders will be managed by Samantha Pugh, previously pub manager at The Coronet in Holloway. The interior colour scheme of the pub references the design of Euston’s Great Hall, with plaster pink tones against the blue of the ceiling.

The trio behind Fallow will launch a new venture, Roe, in Wood Wharf this spring. Named after native deer of the British Isles, Roe will follow the same “nose-to-tail” and “root-to-stem” ethos as its sister restaurant, Fallow St James’s, and Fowl, their recent chicken shop. As well as championing modest, British ingredients, Roe’s dishes will showcase “underused” and “underappreciated” produce. 

Pizza Hut UK, Ireland and France has appointed Jana Ulaite as its new CMO. Ulaite brings a wealth of brand and marketing experience and will lead on ensuring brand strategy is at the forefront of marketing efforts to accelerate growth across the region. Prior to joining Pizza Hut, she spent more than 15 years leading marketing efforts in tech, entertainment and gaming.

Elior UK has appointed Amanda Brown as its new director of sales and marketing at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Brown joins with more than 20 years of experience within the hospitality industry, having most recently held the role of business development director for Sodexo’s sports and leisure business.
