The Claremont, formally known as the Rising Sun, in Bath opened its doors following a £380,000 investment by independent pub owners, Punch.

The community pub underwent a full refurbishment which transformed both the internal and external look and feel of the pub. The investment has also created five new jobs for the area and reopened with publicans Daniel and Simona Matica at the helm. They both have experience in hospitality having previously ran their own American style Diner.

CEO for Punch, Clive Chesser, said: “We are extremely proud of the work that has gone into transforming The Claremont. Daniel and Simona have great plans to deliver a fantastic customer experience all year round and we look forward to working with them to ensure The Claremont becomes a hub for the local community and visitors alike.”

Daniel added: “We are excited about being here at The Claremont. The pub looks great, it has a really cool vibe and is certain to appeal to everyone in the area. We can’t wait to get going. Working with Punch we have lots of plans to bring this pub back to the heart of the community.”
