Wingstop UK will be opening the doors to its first restaurant in Chelmsford at Grey’s Brewery Yard on Monday 26 June, marking the group’s 34th site in the UK.
The new branch will be Wingstop’s second in Essex and adding to its over 2,000 branches globally.
The restaurant will be serving its normal menu at the Chelmsford branch, which includes classic wings, boneless wings, chicken burgers and tenders in a choice of 10 flavours that are always cooked to order.
In addition, the restaurant will have seating for more than 80 customers and a “vibrant” ambience.
To celebrate the opening on June 26 at 11am, Wingstop is offering the first 100 customers the chance to enjoy a complimentary serving of wings, as well as some special merchandise for those first 100 customers.
Since its launch in the UK in 2018, Wingstop UK has experienced remarkable growth, which has created over 1,300 jobs across its various locations.
Tom Grogan, director of Lemon Pepper Holdings and master franchisee of Wingstop UK, said: “Chelmsford was the obvious choice for a Wingstop. Our restaurant in Southend has proven to be a popular destination and there was an appetite to open another restaurant in Essex.
“We can’t wait to serve our authentic flavours to the locals and welcome them into the Wingstop immersive environment. With so many flavours to choose from, we know there will be something for everyone.”
