The one of the three 28°-50° restaurants owned by the Texture Restaurant Group has been sold to Cliffords Restaurants for an undisclosed amount.

The Wine Workshop and Kitchen on Fetter Lane is the first restaurant to be sold by the group, and offers for its two other sites are currently being considered, and the group also said its Michelin-starred Texture restaurant in London’s Marylebone was trading “exceptionally well” and would not be sold.

Cliffords Restaurants has been established since March 2018, and is owned by chef Gemma Jane Ellis.

A spokesperson for Texture Restaurant Group said: “28-50 Wine Workshop and Kitchen on Fetter Lane, part of the Texture Restaurant Group, has been bought by Cliffords Restaurant Ltd, following a great offer. 28-50 on Marylebone Lane and Maddox Street perform well, but only significant, exceptional offers will be considered.

“The Michelin-starred Texture restaurant trades exceptionally well and is not for sale.”
