Scottish restaurant group Six by Nico, the experiential dining experience set to bring its affordable six-course tasting experiences to the city of Bristol, has opened bookings for its opening on 17 February with its first menu The Chippie.

The Chippie, inspired by Nico Simeone’s personal family heritage, offers his “creative twist and immersive elements”, inspired by the classic British dishes.

Since its inception in 2017, he has reinvented his innovative menu over the years, opening each new location with The Chippie.

The Chippie features dishes like chips, cheese and curry sauce with potato terrine, curry emulsion, aged parmesan espuma, monkfish scampi with dill emulsion, and steak pie with beef tartare, oyster emulsion, beer and onion consommé.

To complete the six course tasting experience, guests can choose Six by Nico’s deep fried Mars bar with chocolate delice, cocoa nib, Irn BruSorbet – a reminder to his Scottish-heritage.

The tasting menu (with vegetarian alternatives available and dietaries catered for) is priced at £44pp, with the option to enhance each dish with an optional cocktail pairing for £40pp or matching wine for £30pp.

Regarding the upcoming opening, Simeone said: “The Chippie was originally created to bring a sense of nostalgia, with each dish a nod to moments we have all experienced growing up, enjoying the classics; fish and chips, sausage suppers. The Chippie is a personally important menu for me as it marks the beginning of my journey with Six by Nico and acts as an ode to my family.

“For Bristol, I have tweaked the dishes to bring even more nostalgia and to hopefully, spark conversation and moments around the table. I am really excited and feel humbled to be sharing this experience with the people of Bristol and afar, I really cannot wait.”
