The Oarsman on Spittal Street, Marlow will reopen its doors on September 30, under the new ownership of Truffle Hunting duo Nigel Sutcliffe and James Mclean.

The Bistro will house up to 64 people for lunch and dinner, with a bar area to welcome guests for drinks, with lunch served from 12pm until 14.30pm, and dinner starting at 17.00pm until last booking at 21.45pm

The newly revamped Oarsman will include an open kitchen that will be visible for guests.

The menu will have bistro style, seasonal dishes created by head chef Scott Smith and sous chef Peter Webster.

Dishes will include pate en croute with a selection of homemade pickles and ferments, along with cheddar farinette, marinated tomato, black olive dressing and roast cod, crisp potato, baby gem and shrimp salad.

Furthermore, it will feature a wine list curated by co-owner Nigel Sutcliffe and selection of beers, including some local brewers, with tasting evenings planned to be arranged during the coming months.

Sutcliffe said: “James and I have some exciting plans for guests and hope that we can bring something to Marlow that complements the existing offering.

“As we said before, we will be relying on our local audience and hope that we are bringing something a little different to the town and the next few months will be important to us as we welcome visitors to come and try us.”
