Eggoland, a new egg-based restaurant, is set to open in London on 12 August.
The dining concept, which is located near Goodge Street Station, will serve a variety of egg-based dishes, which aim to show the “egg in all its glory”.
The menu has been created using “unique” flavour combinations, and is fully Halal.
Dishes include the ‘Wakey Eggs’N’Baccy’ bun’, ‘Eastern Charm’ and a ‘The Showstar’ which features roasted potatoes, vegetables, face-down fried egg, harissa hot sauce and chives, served in a warm paratha wrap.
The restaurant is run and founded by Sohail Ahmad, a former Afghan refugee, who arrived in the UK, aged 12.
Ahmad said: ‘’This is a milestone in my life and will be a celebration of everything I have overcome. I want my restaurant to stand as a symbol for other young people who come from hardship. I chose to put myself on a good path and have worked hard to be here.’’
“Coming from an under-privileged background you don’t have the money to be in a high-end restaurant. I wanted to make something tasty and trendy, but good value for money.’’
