Buckinghamshire and London-based catering and events company Goose and Berry is set to welcome its first restaurant venture, Seventy Five, on 8 April, located on the second floor of Liberty’s Regent Street location.
Launching in-line with Liberty’s 150th anniversary year, Seventy Five takes its name from the year it was founded – 1875.
The 1,800 sq ft, 84-cover venue will operate seven days a week offering brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and early suppers, as well as private evening event hire.
Head chef Joe Holness, whose background includes Fera at Claridge’s and Da Terra, has crafted a sharing-style menu, inspired by modern British cuisine, highlighting fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally and sustainably, including herbs and honey from Goose and Berry’s own hives.
All-day small and large plates include goat’s cheese and almond croquettes; torched mackerel with pickled carrot and chervil sauce; Swaledale chicken breast with salsify and thyme and British Hampshire pork chop and fresh herb salsa verde.
Meanwhile, desserts include a chocolate mousse with preserved cherries. In addition, Seventy Five will offer brunch seven days a week and a British afternoon tea from head pastry chef Lizzie Ross that pays homage to Liberty’s arts and crafts heritage. Cocktails are inspired by the store’s signature LBTY fragrance collection.
The new site also features Liberty prints and layered fabrics in “warm” colour palettes of burgundy, pinks and green.
The restaurant’s walls feature Chinoiserie motifs, Persian Garden illustrations, geometric patterns, and a fabric ceiling installation.
Hannah Martin, founder of Goose and Berry, said: “Seventy Five marks an exciting milestone for Goose and Berry as our first restaurant venture. It was essential for us to create a concept that seamlessly integrates with Liberty’s heritage and customer experience.
“Liberty is an iconic British institution, and we are proud to bring our commitment to seasonal, high-quality British food to such an iconic setting. Having been heavily involved from ideation, the concept, vision, menus though to the design, I am excited to see the all-day restaurant come to life in the heart of London.”
