Wingstop UK and Ireland has appointed Emma Colquhoun as chief growth officer, creating a new senior role as the restaurant chain looks to accelerate its expansion across the UK and Ireland.

Colquhoun will join the senior leadership team led by chief executive Chris Sherriff, alongside chief financial officer Paddy Bamford, chief brand officer Dirujan Sabesan, chief operating officer Matt Sheppard and people director Faye Ryder-Humphries.

In the newly created post, Colquhoun will be responsible for driving the next phase of the brand’s growth, with a focus on customer-led strategy. The role is expected to cover brand development, commercial growth and maintaining Wingstop’s positioning as it scales its estate.

She brings more than 17 years’ experience in growth and transformation roles across consumer and hospitality businesses. She previously held executive positions at Krispy Kreme and Ferrero, working across brands including Nutella, Kinder Bueno and Ferrero Rocher.

Most recently, she was a member of the executive team at Wagamama, where she served as chief marketing and commercial officer.

Colquhoun said: “I’m excited to step into this role with a simple north star: the customer comes first. Every decision should start with the customer experience.

“My focus will be on spending time in our sites, listening to our teams, and doubling down on what our customers love. If the customer wins, we all win, and I’m excited to help Wingstop UKI grow by putting customers first, one order at a time!”

Chris Sherriff, CEO, added: “We are delighted to welcome Emma to Wingstop UKI in this newly created role. Emma brings a breadth of industry experience in brand expansion and innovation, which will be pivotal as we continue to deliver flavour to new communities in the UK and Ireland.”
