Elior Group appoints chief information and digital officer

Joanne Deval joins Elior as the company’s new CIO with 20 years’ experience in information systems, digital transformation, and innovation after reportedly spending most of her career at Air Liquide

Elior Group has announced the appointment of Joanne Deval as the company’s chief information officer (CIO). It is said that she reports to Bernard Gault, group interim CEO, and is a member of the group executive committee.

Joanne Deval has 20 years’ experience in information systems, digital transformation, and innovation after reportedly spending most of her career at Air Liquide. After three years as product manager for the French industrial merchant Air Liquide Affiliate, she became Europe industries zone risk manager in 2010.

She was then appointed as managing director for AL Czech Republic and AL Slovakia, before becoming CIO for Air Liquide’s industrial activities in Europe in 2013. In 2019, she reportedly became Air Liquide Group’s chief information officer, a position she held until her arrival at Elior Group.

Within Elior Group, it is said that she will be responsible for managing the group’s information systems activities, defining and implementing its IT strategy and ensuring the digital transformation of its activities.

Bernard Gault, group interim CEO, said: “The group executive committee is very pleased with the arrival of Joanne Deval as our new CIO. Joanne is convinced about the leading role information technology now plays for businesses, and the need to integrate digital transformation into our activities: the excellence of her operational expertise will be essential to the success of our missions.”
