Civan Er is to open his first London restaurant in Soho on 21 January, the chef has become well-known for his Yeni Lokanta restaurant in Istanbul.
Er’s restaurant will replace wine bar, Vinoteca, which closed following issues with its alcohol licence. The new Beak Street restaurant was first rumoured to be opening last September.
It is reported that the new restaurant will feature 80 covers across two stories and will be based on the Istanbul model. The restaurant recently took to Instagram to announce its opening and to search for staff.

Er said: “For me, it’s exciting and humbling to be able to bring Yeni to the city where my professional journey began. Yeni looks forward to inviting London to feast on our take on Istanbul’s style.”
