Food hall operator Market Halls has reported a “remarkable” 155% rise in revenues to £22m in the 12-month period to July 2023, which will set the stage for its plans to open more food halls across the country.
At the same time, the Gees Court-backed company has secured a prime location for its fourth London site at West London’s newest destination, Paddington Square.
Market Halls Paddington Square will boast 11,000 sq ft of space featuring food traders, two bars, an outdoor terrace and seating for 500 customers within the new mixed-use development in the 1.35 acre piazza.
The group currently operates three London food halls in Victoria, Oxford Street and Canary Wharf, with Paddington Square due to open in the final quarter of 2024.
Andy Lewis-Pratt, CEO of Market Halls, said: “Securing our fourth venue in such an iconic London location is hugely exciting for us and we are very excited to be working closely with the team at Paddington Square as part of such an exciting development.
“Our team is working hard behind the scenes to make this the best Market Halls yet!”
With a robust pipeline of two to three sites set to open in the upcoming year, Market Halls is targeting cities including Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
