German Doner Kebab (GDK) has announced that it is set to open a new site in Brent Cross Shopping Centre this autumn as part of its 2025 expansion plans.

The new GDK site will create 20 new jobs in the local area and will include menu additions such as the GDK Doner Rice Bowl.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, the brand has grown rapidly to over 150 restaurants across the UK, continental Europe, and the Middle East, and is now expanding in the USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Ireland.

Simon Wallis, GDK CEO, said: “Brent Cross is a landmark shopping destination for North London, making it an ideal location for us to serve up our game-changing kebabs to an exciting and diverse customer base. Our menu is built around quality ingredients, bold flavours, and providing a new elevated perspective on a nation-wide favourite.

“As we continue our rapid growth across the UK, openings like Brent Cross are powerful markers of the momentum behind the GDK brand. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and we’d like to extend a special thanks to our hard-working team across the country. As well as a huge congratulations to our franchise partners – their drive and dedication have been central to our journey and success.”

Neil Churchill, destination director at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, added: “We’re delighted to welcome German Doner Kebab to Brent Cross. Their innovative take on a much-loved classic is exactly the kind of fresh, high-quality food experience our visitors are looking for.

“As one of the UK’s busiest shopping destinations, we’re always striving to bring exciting, on-trend brands to our mix, and GDK’s arrival is another great step in that journey. We’re confident it will be a huge hit with shoppers from across North London and beyond.”
