Fhior Garden Café at the Secret Herb Garden in Scotland has announced that it will close on 30 August due to the impact of Covid-19

Owners of the venue, Scott and Laura Smith, took to instagram to confirm the closure describing it as “devastating”.

The pair overtook the cafe in February 2020, and have since claimed that their initial vision for the venue has been “twisted” and “distorted” due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions, which had been placed on hospitality.

However, it is understood that a new operator has been appointed to take over the space, with plans to keep all staff members.

The Smith’s said: “We are devastated. More so, we are heartbroken for our team there. They are the ones who have continually adapted to the changing conditions, and they have done it with energy and positivity. What they have moulded that space to become is something we are very proud of, and we are so grateful to them.”

Scott and Laura Smith, are currently owners of the Fhior restaurant which is based in Edinburgh
