Costa Coffee has kickstarted its nationwide high street and shopping centre acquisition plans with the appointment of Savills as advisors.
Savills has worked with the company on its high street expansion across the South West, Wales and Scotland for close to 20 years, and now the operator has extended the remit nationwide, excluding inside the M25.
With a renewed focus on the high street and shopping centres, Costa Coffee is now looking to “maximise” the customer experience, with Savills looking for new stores, relocations and upsize opportunities to facilitate this.
The coffeehouse chain is also looking for a range of formats including drive-thru, drive-to, and travel-focused locations. The advisor is reportedly seeking new opportunities in prominent roadside and retail park settings.
Tom Falk, head of property at Costa Coffee, said: “Costa Coffee has ambitious growth plans over the coming years, both in terms of opening new stores and optimising our existing estate. To achieve this, it’s essential that we work with the industry’s leading property advisors.
