Salt Yard Group has announced it has sold the Opera Tavern Spanish tapas restaurant in Covent Garden to Urban Pubs and Bars.

The Covent Garden restaurant opened in 2011 and was one of four owned by Salt Yard. The group said it will now be “focusing fully” on its Soho and Fitzrovia restaurants, Dehesa, Ember Yard and Salt Yard.

Salt Yard underwent a refurbishment in late August and Dehesa will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in autumn. The acquisition by Urban Pubs and Bars is part of its continued expansion and is its 14th hospitality site.

A statement from Salt Yard said: “Directors Georgina Laing and Sanja Moll say it’s been a fabulous seven years in Covent Garden, and they are excited to now be focusing fully on their Soho and Fitzrovia restaurants; Dehesa, Ember Yard and Salt Yard.”
