Online alcohol retailer Master of Malt has raised £36.5k for Hospitality Action through an auction of Macallan whiskey.

The ecommerce platform which has a history of running lotteries and charity auctions for highly sought-after allocations auctioned off the Macallan Red Collection.

Hospitality Action is a UK charity which offers financial and emotional support  to anyone working in the hospitality sector.

Its services include offering advice, signposting and supporting people through mental and physical ill health, relationship breakdowns, debt and bankruptcy and addictive behaviours.

Justin Petszaft, Master of Malt CEO. “The Macallan is always highly collectable, so we knew demand for this collection would be high, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to help raise some much-needed funds for our friends in the on-trade.

“When we set this live none of us could have imagined how much it would raise – £36,510 is a huge amount of money, and will make a real difference to so many people’s lives who desperately need our help right now.”
