The winners of the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2018 have been announced at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) during a ceremony hosted by Simon Rimmer.

The awards gave special recognition to Isle of Harris Gin as the Product of the Year, Border Biscuits as the Business of the Year, and Quality Meat Scotland as Outstanding Contribution.

The judging panel, which received 273 entries in total this year, awarded other businesses such as Spice Pots, Aldi, Hungry Squirrel, among others in their full list of winners.

The Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2018 is run in partnership with Scotland Food and Drink and The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS).

Chief executive of Scotland Food and Drink, James Withers, said: “Scotland is home to some of the most innovative producers and these awards give us the chance to celebrate just a few of them. We have a fantastic mix of world-class businesses as well as a new generation of entrepreneurs coming through.”
